The Clarens House is situated in the heart of Clarens, the Jewel of the Eastern Free State,  with beautiful views over the surrounding mountains.

Each of the 6 rooms has been tastefully furnished to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Every room has an en-suite bathroom (with walk in shower), a private patio, a coffee station, a mini bar fridge, crockery & cutlery and ceiling fans.

Rooms 1, 2 and 3 each have extra length queen size beds; Room 4 has an extra length king size bed (or 2 single beds on request); Room 5 has an extra length king size bed as well as a shower and bath.

Room 6 is a semi self-contained suite, with a double extra length bed and a basic kitchenette with air fryer, microwave and toaster.

All rooms have Wi-Fi and a smart TV with OpenView and Netflix.

The Clarens House can also be booked as a whole for friends or family gatherings, sleeping up to 12. Guests then have the use of the lounge, kitchen and dining room, as well as the furnished entertainment area.

There are also 2 communal braai areas for the guests to enjoy.

When booking the bedrooms individually (except for Room 6), guests will receive a complimentary Breakfast voucher to be redeemed at one of the local restaurants. The rooms are serviced daily.

The homely Two Bedroom Lofts have an outside deck and are equipped with a fireplace, a kitchen and a bathroom with bath and shower. The cozy studios feature a kitchenette, shower room and outside deck.

Breakfast can be arranged at a nearby restaurant.

The guest house is just a short walking distance from shops and restaurants. The accommodation also provides barbecue facilities.

Golden Gate Highlands National Park is a 15-minute drive away. The property offers free parking.

Guest House Mooigezicht offers accommodation in Clarens. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and free private parking is available on site.

Every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have a seating area to relax in after a busy day. You will find a kettle in the room. Each room is fitted with a private bathroom.

Clarens Methodist Church is 100 metres from Guest House Mooigezicht, while NG Church is 200 metres from the property.

Village Studio Guesthouse is located in the small town of Fouriesburg, a stone throw away from Clarens and Lesotho. 

The House can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms (one queen, one double and a twin). There is a large family bathroom with bath and shower over the bath, to share.
The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a gas stove and oven. There is also all the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery needed for your stay.

There is a lounge and dining room as well as a covered veranda. Guests are welcome to braai in the garden.

The Garden Suite sleeps 2 guests in a double bed, has an en-suite bathroom with bath and has a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, a microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as crockery and cutlery, making it ideal for heat & eat meals. There is also a braai, table and chairs outside in the garden, for guests to enjoy.

Guest have use of the large garden which is shared between the 2 units. Village Studio Guesthouse is child friendly and we do accept children of all ages.

Fully house trained dogs are accepted by prior arrangement, providing they are treated against ticks & fleas, and are not left alone.

The 2 units can be booked as a whole or separately.

The Attic & Below has 2 spacious and comfortable self-catering apartments, centrally situated in Main Street, Clarens.

Each apartment sleeps a maximum of 4 persons (one queen size bed and 2 single beds), and are ideal for families or friends.

The Upstairs apartment has lovely views over the surroundings mountains. It has a its own private entrance at the top of the outdoor staircase. The unit is open plan and has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, gas stove & oven, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as all the crockery and cutlery needed for your stay. There are 2 single beds in the lounge section and a queen size bed in the bedroom part. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Guests have the use of the balcony which also has a small braai.

The Downstairs apartment has its own private entrance and overlooks the front garden. The large open plan unit has a queen size bed and 2 single beds, a semi-closed bathroom with bath and shower over the bath, and a separate toilet. There is a dining room section and a well equipped separate kitchen with fridge/freezer, gas stove & oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the necessary crockery and cutlery. Guests can enjoy the large covered veranda that opens onto the garden, or have a braai outside.

Each unit has braai facilities and we offer free Wi-Fi as well as DSTV (guesthouse package). Parking is available either on the property or on the street.

We do accept children over the age of 6 years old, as well as babies (please bring your own cot).
